A capacity-building training program on KoboToolbox for Project Data Collection was conducted for project staff and relevant field officers under the Integrated Rurban Development and Climate Resilience Project (IRDCRP) to strengthen their digital data collection, monitoring, and reporting capabilities. The training focused primarily on supporting the implementation and monitoring requirements of Component 1 and Component 2 activities, with special emphasis on the use of mobile applications for collecting and tracking project progress data. Held on 8–9 June 2026 at the World Bank Auditorium, One Galle Face Tower, the program was facilitated by Mr. Dimesh Nilendra Dharmathilaka, World Bank Consultant, and attended by 15 participants representing various sections of the project.
The training covered both theoretical and practical aspects of KoboToolbox, including platform setup, questionnaire development, mobile-based data collection using the ODK Collect application, data synchronization, form sharing, and dataset export for analysis and reporting. Through hands-on exercises and practical demonstrations, participants gained valuable experience in designing digital surveys, collecting field data, and managing project information efficiently.
